In the TV series, "The Prisoner" (1967-68) Number Six is introduced to a mainframe super computer that its creator says can answer ANY question. Number Six is invited to ask it a question. He types his question, which is transferred onto a punch card, and then fed into the computer. The computer begins to smoke, overheat, and short circuit. Shocked, Number Two asks Number Six what was the question he asked? Number Six replied...."Why?"
Perhaps we should ask Bing, ChatTGP, etc this question until we send it screaming back into the Abyss.
