Have you ever been in a power outage situation where the merchant said they had to take cash because they couldn't process a card? Bitcoin is an internet based currency. Think about that. Have you ever heard of the internet kill switch? Bitcoin is a currency that is 100% dependent on the internet, unlike that gold and silver in your safe deposit box. Cryptos go bankrupt from poor management or from being hacked. Yes, despite urban legend, blockchain is entirely hackable. It's not easy but it has been done repeatedly.
