Not clear at to what digital money is: The difference, as we already have electronic/digital money....is that this money unlike our current electronic money (that is rarely printed) will never be able to be held in physical form. This is never explicitly stated by anyone that is reporting this....they could in theory convert what we have by just telling us that we can not use paper money. They would lose the opportunity to revalue transparently though.

@Joe. I agree that it's never explicitly stated, and I'd like a guarantee from President Trump that we aren't going cashless. Also concerning is that one of Omidyar's people (think Aadhaar) is an advisor to Giancarlo on the new digital currency system. https://www.cftc.gov/sites/default/files/2018-10/FintechAgenda100318_0.pdf The fact that Giancarlo's looking at Aadhaar suggests that the new system will be tied to a biometric ID system. Aadhaar also involves digital ID, and fact that an Aadhaar-implementer is also involved with the legislation to revise Section 230 of the FCC Communications Act is concerning. https://www.justice.gov/file/1286216/download Dave's right, the public needs to rise against this.
