I am on the high plains of Colorado. There are many back roads here that pass through farm and ranch lands that are LOCKED. Now, in a rush, I am sure many will just drive right through the metal gates. Be aware that these gates are heavy duty (some of them) and you will sustain damage to your vehicle at some point rendering it useless. ALSO, these back roads aren't always maintained. My husband and his friend went out thirty miles a few weeks ago to shoot their muskets (hunting season). They ended up stranded because the road was washed out and they were sunk in for hours-had to call for help (these are two seasoned hunting guides from the Rockies).
