My wife is required to get a simple, basic blood test once a year. For years she has gone to the local walk-in clinic. Quick in and out. Self-pay. Not this year. First clinic no longer does blood drawing. Second clinic DOES NOT WORK WITH Medicare people even though self-pay. Third clinic, she couldn't find it (must have moved). Finally went to the HOSPITAL and waited in line. Next year, if there is a next year, I'm going to call around for an easier way. Somewhere that will do a simple blood draw. God forbid something real serious happens. I'd rather die at home than die in the hospital because hospitals are where people check-in but never check-out... alive.
Check out REQUESTATEST DOT COM, Jeff. I've used them to my satisfaction. A clerk tried to give me a hard time by arguing that a doctor's scrip was needed, but I insisted on speaking to the lab director, who quickly-and with great annoyance-enlightened her concerning the issue. Best wishes.
