Have you considered the possibility that all of these pieces of human debris descend upon these sanctuary cities for the simple reason that through legislation or stupidity almost no one has the ability to defend themselves? Allow me to take a very politically incorrect position here, and advocate for open carry in all cities sanctuary or not. Get rid of the Government goon squads wearing goofy costumes wielding guns, and simply allow people to defend themselves. Not only would the crime rate collapse immediately, but the recidivism rate would be near zero. This would also eliminate our steady progression towards a totalitarian police state. A criminal in a goofy costume would be the same as any other criminal then.
