What is not stated about VPN's folks is that if you visit say your email site and that traffic is not HTTPS encrypted then you are busted! Who you are is determined regardless of the variable IP address that one can get with a VPN..... Security is a hell of lot more complicated than just installing VPN software. It's better than nothing I guess, but being educated makes it really useful.
