Oak Park is UBER-liberal (90% Biden voters), and borders one of the most violent neighborhoods in Chicago; blacks comprise a great deal of the population. They've already had help available to them, not available to others - this new policy begs the questions of why go to school? And also, why even have a school to go to? It's DEI on steroids! Attendance isn't mandatory as it was in the past - this has been going on for years. Smart teachers will compensate by giving White & Asian students extra credit, keeping that to themselves & not saying anything. I also read an article where another suburban Chicago teacher resigned, precisely because of DEI policies causing harm - a black sophomore beat up a white freshman. No hate crime here /s
