The only state governor with half a brain it seems. A LOT of pitfalls are there, I warn as a member of the state sanctioned Missouri Militia. Let's see how Desantis can magically compress 20 years of training into mere months and procure weapons of war that are prohibited from the militia in direct opposition to the second amendment. I would bet also that 3/4 of his potential militia is so out of shape as to be ineffective in combat.

1st the Federal Government is not involved. Yes, a lot could go wrong, but Desantis is doing way more to protect the people of Fla, than all other Governor put together. To meet the service needs of our State and her People caused by such conditions as natural disasters epidemics insurrection, riot, or breach of the peace; to meet the defense needs of our State and her People against an actual or threatened enemy attack. In all cases, under abnormal circumstances where the state has failed or been overrun, the militia is authorized by the Tenth Amendment to the United States constitution to take responsibility for these duties under the independent command of its officers, answering to the citizenry as a whole.

The National Guard was always under the command of the governor of a state. In 2004 the Guard became part of NorthCom and now is part of the federal govt. It can't be trusted to carry out a governor's orders any longer. Hope he can pull it off.

I believe the answers are Crystal Clear: 1. He intends to Stop the infusion of unregistered Immigrants, (unregistered democratic voters) into the State. 2. He intends to to defend the People against an Invasion by the present Domestic Enemy, known as the United States Government. 3. He intnds to use the Militia to restore Domestic Tranquility, when it becomes necessary to do so. How much more Clarity of his Understanding of the present conditions is necessary? Probably None.
