I live near Seattle and I followed the Sonics since their beginning. I really loved them. Then they were purchased by Howard Schultz (Starbucks) and he didn't get his fancy half $billion arena (he wanted the public to pay for) so he sold the team to an owner from OKC and bye bye Sonics hello Thunder. I was upset for a while and haven't watched ANY NBA since they were deliberately plundered out of Seattle. I am not the only one, most of Seattle now pays no attention to the NBA. Now that the league is so corrupt I don't feel like I am missing anything and do not want the Sonics back. Sports has become so corrupt and even college sports with the transfer portal and NIL has become ruined.
