I live outside the 2nd biggest town in Montana. "Affordable" housing for "first-time home buyers" are 800 sq.ft. apartments for $400,000. The exterior of these 3-story "stack-and-pack" buildings are made of corrugated sheet metal and look just like industrial warehouses. IF, if people ever move into them, I predict the Banksters will repossess them within a year. All by design. All types of scum are moving into the state. The city is pulling its collective hair out on a solution to the exploding homeless situation. Meanwhile, the homeless are camping EVERYWHERE. And crime is increasing accordingly. It’s bothered me greatly that we don’t TRULY “own” our homes and land - because local governments take them if we can’t or don’t pay property tax each year - no matter how high that tax goes. For example, the COVID shutdowns reduced the income that hotels, restaurants, and attractions made - and therefore, the sales tax made in our city, which depends on tourism. So, the city government raised property tax by 40%. “When I’m President,” I’ll instate alloidial titles so that we permanently OWN our land - and make it easier to defend our lives and homes without fear of prosecution. Taxes shouldn’t be attached to homes. We could also just bring back the 1800’s and defend them with whatever means are necessary.
