California to Become First State to Tax Drinking Water

It is hard to believe, but believe it! California is about to become the first state to actually tax drinking water!

And taxing air will be soon to follow if we allow this to stand. Doesn't anyone understand incrementalism? When are Americans going to get a spine and grow a pair? I am not holding my breath.....

Dave, I am shocked that you used the term "serfs". Just last week I told a few friends that we are no more than serfs. The only difference between the current American serfs and those in Europe centuries ago is that they knew they were. We haven't come to that realization yet. This is my second year on Medicare. I did not know Medicare rates are income based until this year when I received a notice that based on my 2018 income, my rate went up by about $50 a month. No good deed goes unpunished. When we just add up all the taxes on just living, (property, personal property, income, earned interest, gasoline, tolls, etc.), the increase on grocery items that have shrunk in size by 25% or more. Very little of the money we earned belongs to us anymore. I envision a day when property taxes will be so high we could loose our homes to the state. One strategy I have considered is having my home and a small lot separated from the acreage the home is on in the event this comes to pass. We have been serfs for some time in this nation. Keep up the good work you do.
