God helps those who help themselves? Really?

Dave God does not help those who help themselves. He helps those who come to Him asking for His help because they cannot help themselves they are powerless and God does the impossible. God did not help me get dressed this morning. I helped myself do that and would have asked Him do you mind? I can do this myself. God would not do that think about what you said think about it its not true. If you can help yourself are you going to ask God to help you? Why? you can do it yourself. Its when you need a miracle you ask God to help you because you cant do it.
