Is It Good for a Christian to Celebrate Halloween?

As Halloween is coming up this week, how should churches and Christians approach the holiday? In this week’s Ask Pastor Mark, he gives three ways you can approach holidays, including Halloween, from a Christian perspective.

About 38 years ago I was in charge of a small singles ministry. And there were a number of single moms in the group. I said let's have an evening at one of our houses everyone can dress up as Bible characters, we can have games and candy! We just did not participate in the door to door thing. The kids had fun without all the usual Halloween things, and we had fun, the adults that attended and the kids got all the candy they wanted too! I guess it was good, by the way I dressed up, this was before the gay thing, as the rainbow. Big white sheet with all the color of the rainbow! Commemorating the real reason for the rainbow! And the church I later attended had the Fall Harvest Festival celebrating Fall not Halloween!

The Bible tells us to come out from among them and be clean. Harvest festival, Fall festival, or Halloween are the same thing. If you’re wearing costumes and passing out candy you are celebrating Halloween, and honoring satan - period! Pastors will give account for allowing, what God calls abomination, in the church. God is not blind nor a fool!

I had to stop before I finished and got sick by listening to this drivel. Deut 12:29 says not to take the ways of the nations God was driving out of the land to worship Him with. Driscoll's equivocating is everything that is wrong with Churchianity today. You cannot redeem something that never belonged to Him which the pagan holidays Christmas, Easter, Valentines Day or Helloween haven't. God says to come out from among them. Keep His appointed times in Lev 23, stay away from the devil's holidays and everything will be fine. The days are coming where participation in these things will lead to our destruction. Wake up people!
