The Mount Rainier Threat Could Wipe Out Seattle and the Surrounding Communities (Part 2)

Mathew 24:7

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

Luke 24:11

There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.

Luke 21:36

But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Who needs the Russians and Chinese as enemies when you have Mt. Rainier hovering over Seattle?

Mt. Rainier has the potential to bring about unbelievable death and destruction. I am all too aware that Mt. Rainier is a ticking time bomb. However, if one asks the locals, they are absolutely clueless as to the dangers that they face. It reminds me of the blissful ignorance that the residents of Pompeii must have enjoyed until disaster struck.

Both Mt. Rainier and also the New Madrid fault zone are both shaking, and a catastrophic seismic event at either location would cause death and destruction at unparalleled and never seen-before-level. Mt. Rainier is considered one of the most deadliest volcanoes in the world. And it is not a matter of “if” not “when” before a major eruption occurs and produces a catastrophic loss of life. When that day finally arrives, Mt. Rainier has the potential to bury hundreds of square miles with a colossal tsunami of super-heated mud that is literally several hundred feet deep.

Because Mt. Rainier is located in proximity to major population centers, the threat goes up exponentially. It is very important to consider what just happened at Mt. Rainier. The USGS reported that Mt. Rainier was hit by a magnitude 3.6 earthquake on Sunday afternoon

An abrupt amount of seismic activity this past weekend, Mount Rainier National Park was shaken by a 3.6 magnitude earthquake Sunday afternoon. The quake, in question, occurred just after noon. and it was felt as far as Kent, which is 80 miles away, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

In addition to that quake, there have been quite a few others in recent days. In fact, it is being reported that Mt. Rainier has been hit by “more than a dozen” earthquakes since Thanksgiving. The mainstream media is doing its fair share of covering up thesis potential every as the local Seattle Times is telling the public that this is perfectly normal, but interestingly they “should prepare for what might happen in the event of an eruption” just in case, people living near Mount Rainier should prepare for what might happen in the event of an eruption. A Mount Rainier eruption could cause lahars, which are large volcanic mudflows to rip down the side of the mountain. Lahars from Rainier pose the most risk to life as many communities lie atop older lahar deposits. According to the USGS, about 150,000 people live on top of old lahar deposits of Rainier. The 5000-year-old Osceola Mudflow would destroy seven surrounding communities. The mudflow might also reach down the Duwamish estuary and destroy parts of downtown Seattle, and amazingly, cause a tsunami in Puget Sound and Lake Washington.

The physics of a lahar is frightening as it is basically a giant tsunami of super-heated mud, and they can be hundreds of feet high. The highways will instantly be jammed once an eruption happens and a lahar can travel at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour. The following is how one author described the danger that those living in the area could potentially be facing…

The numerous towns and cities that occupy the surrounding valley would all be at risk for not only severe destruction, but complete annihilation. Residents of cities like Orting, Sumner, Buckley, and Enumclaw are estimated to have no more than 30 minutes before the lahar, speeding down from the many rivers that flow from Mount Rainier, buries their homes and businesses beneath as much as 30 feet of mud and debris. Even the larger cities like Auburn, Puyallup, and Tacoma itself are not safe. Auburn and Puyallup, with nearly 80,000 residents between them, would be covered in 20 feet of mud in less than an hour, and Tacoma, at almost 200,000, is estimated to be hit with nearly 10 feet from the lahar.

As you can see, the death and destruction would prove to be horrific and at the same time, incalculable in terms of death and destruction.  Millions could perish. How would they die? Besides being buried in hot lava-based mud, many would die directly from the heat and be frozen in place where they stood. Some would suffocate as they did in Pompeii. Please keep in mind that Mt. Rainier only represents one of 18 potential volcanic eruptions in the Cascadia region.

This report will be followed by several other reports because Mount Rainier is only the tip of the iceberg. Finally, in conclusion, one might wonder where the geologists are at? Steve Quayle, for his Branson presentation got several to go on the record. Now, all geologists are being threatened with termination, and it's not just termination from their academic posts. Some have even gone into hiding. The powers that be will do what they have to do to protect certain economic interests for as long as possible. Here is the story.
