I suspect that the reason for the suppression or misdirection of fundamental physics is quite simply because otherwise, anti gravity flying machines and space travel would have been (publicly) possible 80 years ago. Remember, one of the claims is that aliens don't want us to have their space craft technology as we can not be trusted. Of course, the real physics will have been know all along which is one reason for the rumours of the deep state secret technology years beyond the technology we have access to.
