Big Banks failing?

Having lived through and experiencing first hand the "Savings and Loan Crisis" I can remember we were told by banking experts that eventually all the banks would consolidate into 3-5 super big banks, which is what happened. An occasional bank can get into trouble, and require being consolidated by another. It is impossible for all the banks to fail at once. When I say fail, I mean close down. They own most of the collateral. Homes, businesses, farms, land, boats, and cars. The banks hold all the cards. They won't go broke and close. But you might.
