You are being "Targeted". It is commonly referred to as Targeted Individual (TI). The businesses, acquaintances, simply anyone who is desperate for money is informed that if they torment; harass; stalk; mistreat; waste your time and or money, they get some benefit whether it is being able to stay in business, have an increase in business, good things will come their way. You are known enough in your community so they (deep state) retaliate against you and the messages that you put out by playing (tormenting) these games. It is a perfect strategy to incite civil war. One neighbor against another neighbor.
Much can be ascertained about the character or lack thereof of a person or organization when they don't have to do what is right and good.
We've noticed it, too, Dave, and it seems to be escalating, so, welcome to the new normal? Tsk and snarl.
It has been around for sometime now. You go to breakfast they tell you to sit anywhere you like and then wait on people just coming in! Your food comes cold and you are waiting forever for a refill either with coffee or tea. Plus all the prices are higher! And also the attitudes! If you are over a certain age especially in doctor offices they call you honey, sweetie and other endearing names. I try to say politely that my name is Mrs. Misa, thank you. They have no respect for anybody today and I am over it! I have had the same experience on the phone as well. When you finally get someone on the phone they barely speak English and you have no idea what they are saying.
The reason I am not subscribed to COmmonsenseshow.tv is because of your customer service. I don't begrudge it because we are at war with whatever factions you choose as they say all is fair with love or war.

You nailed it!!! I've been noticing the same thing for quite some time now, to the point where I'm even commenting aloud about it. It's everywhere and getting noticeably worse. From the top down. It does no good to speak to a manager. They are more often worse. It's terrible! I'm old enough to remember when cust service meant something and it was top priority. It's sickening to see how our culture has gone down the toilet!!!
Terrible customer service, yes. Up here in the state of WA. I recently went to a Safeway and rang up my own groceries at self check out. When entering items at the register I had a female store employee start yelling at me that I had entered the wrong price on an item. She treated me like a thief. I was stunned. Safeway never was like this before. And at Costco nowadays the store employees treat the customers like inmates at a prison. My experience. They make you line up to go into the store and yell orders at you. They treat you like a leper and won't touch your Costco card (germs). They act like it is a privilege for you to be on their property. And people just take it. But not me. I haven't been back since May when this happened.
Several dining places in my city have slow service and one didn't put condiments in several take outs, so we just don't go there anymore,another annoyance is loud music unable to carry on conversations. Phone service for cable complaints (Comcast, etc)long wait times, also sometimes disconnects. We avoid wholesale clubs (Sams Costco) now, tried one several yrs ago, poor service at the cust. svc desk. Didn't rejoin.
