G'day Dave, i'm fully supportive of the police; and law + order. However, i believe QI should be removed. I enjoy watching some 1st Amend audits from here in Australia. Every day i see auditors get arrested just for filming in public which is protected under the Const; plus has been ruled by Supreme Court repeatedly. I see some of the police completely uneducated on simple Constitutional rights of the citizens. Then there is a lawsuit, which the taxpayer is on the hook for, then the policeman gets employed at the next county down the road. There seemingly isnt a lot of accountability. If the police were individually responsible for their own insurance, maybe they might be more respectful to constitutional law. Just my humble opinion.

Dave we need to not only get rid of "qualified immunity", we need to get rid to the standing army that is euphemistically known as the police. The institution is inherently evil and it usurps real security that is provided by a militia as the founders warned us was necessary to remain free. We need to go back to a single county sheriff and his posse (the militia) FWIW "qualified immunity" is a plank of Church of Satan. They call it moral revivalism.

I would argue that we already know the answer to your question, Dave, based on the increased violence and crime we see in 'progressively' run states. OTOH, I could care less. . .I live in Texas.
