Dear America: I have Lost a Beloved Colleague and a Friend-The World Lost a Brave Defender

Dear America

Yesterday was a travel day for my family. So, I am late reacting to the untimely passing of my friend, Joe Hagmann.

There will be those that will judge Joe for the alleged manner in which he died. I will hear none of it. To those who judge, I would lovingly remind you that we all fall short of the glory of God and we all stumble in our pursuit to lead a Godly life.

Through the years, I forged a friendship with Joe and his father, Doug. I can tell the public that behind the scenes, the Hagmanns are just as sincere and determined as is their public persona. Both Joe and Doug are symbols of our Godly resistance against the forces of evil and as we see in the case of Joe, sometimes those forces achieve a temporary victory. But when I ascend to Heaven, I expect to look out and see my friend Joe standing in his rightful place.

Joe was a frequent guest on my show as he provided many key insights into the events of the world. I trusted Joe and I respected and loved him. My heart is so heavy, that I cannot express the depth of my sorrow .I am not ashamed to admit that tears are streaming down my face as I write these words.

For those that only knew Joe from a distance, I know you are limited in missing him to what he brought to the journalistic table, which was significant. However, Joe represented the new generation of freedom fighters, serving Christ, restoring order to an insane world. I was aware that Joe was facing challenges, but I expected him to soon return to the fight, but it was not to be. Future generations of Americans will be deprived of his knowledge and dogged determinism to not submit to Satan's warriors.

My heart is so heavy with grief, it is hard to express words that can encapsulate my feelings. I worry about Doug and my heart aches for the entire Hagmann family. We have all suffered a terrible loss and I pray that the Lord commends Joe's soul to his Kingdom and provides comfort to Joe's family. What can you do America? Simply pray for all impacted by this tragedy.

Yours in Christ,

Dave Hodges
