Vladimir Putin has set alarm bells ringing with a new missile that's reportedly capable of dodging NATO's radar systems. The missile, believed to be an updated model of a nuclear-capable intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), was tested by Russia recently.

On April 12, the Russian Ministry of Defence boasted about a successful test launch of an ICBM at their Kapustin Yar rocket launch site in Astrakhan Oblast, located in the south of Russia.

They claimed this exercise was part of "state testing of prospective missile systems, as well as confirmation of the stability of missiles in service."

The test was declared a complete success, achieving all its intended goals and demonstrating the "high reliability of Russian missiles to ensure strategic security", according to the official statement.

Russia, known for regularly conducting ICBM and other missile tests, kept the exact type of missile under wraps, sparking widespread speculation, reports the Express.

Russian military pundit and propagandist Colonel Viktor Baranets couldn't resist commenting on the test, quipping that "all NATO intelligence services are on their toes" post-test.
