Health Insurance was NEVER about health, it was about the insurance companies making money. Just like the Life Insurance companies, these outfits don't want to insure sick or old people. There's no money in that for them. So it only makes sense for them to exclude the sick and elderly. I once had a 'Dental Plan' and the premiums and deductibles were higher than the dental service. So I dropped the plan and put that money into an envelope marked 'Dental.' Insurance plans are what wrecked the Health/Medical Care System in the US. 100 years ago you paid cash or made payments. Today, people run to the doctor for sniffles knowing that insurance will pay. I think those days are coming to an end.
