Dave, every time I listen to you talk about camps, etc., the Nazi Reich and their concentration camp system pops into my head. My very good friend in Las Vegas had a member of her family survive the Auschwitz camp as a young teen (she was shipped from Paris, France). The first time I met her I could not quit staring at the ugly bluish-green inked number on her forearm. It was hideous and it brought to life the history you read about, but never see or know first-hand. If I am remember correctly, it was either people close to her or even family members who turned her into the Gestapo. My friend had her mother record her story with Spielberg's Shoah project under Fernande Chenin. Why are we forgetting history?
