Having been an Illinois resident for many years, I have seen that basically North of I-80 (Chicago and the metro area) have been running the state for as long as I can remember. When talk was around about succeeding we would hear of losing tax money. I would take that to get back to following the laws as a good trade for downstate not getting the tax money anyway.

No one I ever voted for in all that time was elected except Ronald Reagan and one member of the Board of Supervisors who was a Democrat, but she was a terrific person. I was in a rural community in the San Joaquin Valley - farm county. We were totally left out of things on the State level as it was all about the large populations. I support NEW CALIFORNIA, and now I am in Oregon and I support the State of Jefferson. We are totally out of the realm of influence. The state legislature has been hem hawing around on wild fire funding and legislation - yep it is all about the BIG CITY FOLK! DEPENDING ON COVID-19 STATUS IN A COUPLE MONTHS I PLAN TO GO TO A CONFERENCE ON HOW TO HELP!

Even a dumbed down population...has it's breaking point. I want my neighborhood to secede. Too many Conservative statists in this secession movement.

Looking forward to moving there when West Virginia takes in the Virginia Counties which will or may secede! West Virginia need to then eliminate state taxation on income, pensions, and dividends, and comply with the Nuremburg Law and Human Rights by making vaccinations an option as opposed to a mandatory law requirement! WV will also need to allow more latitude for conceal / carry! WV should also be more supportive of home-schoolers, and those who wish to un-school! So, let's get those Virginia Counties moving westward, thus raising West Virginia's GDP and enshrining the U.S. Constitution at the same time!
