I saw the movie Rollerball in my twenties the year before I got married. It did have quite an impact on me, though at the time not as much as it does today for its prophetic message. However, the satisfying ending in the movie where the character played by James Caan defies his oppressors, thereby winning a small victory, will not be repeated I fear in today's world.
