Why it matters: Dimon's informal phone conversations are a vivid sign of the growing establishment enthusiasm for Haley, the former UN ambassador and South Carolina governor.

The big picture: Haley's strong performance in debates has led many establishment figures to speculate that if only she could get past former President Trump for the nomination, she'd give President Biden a run for his money.

Dimon admires Haley's grasp of the economy, and her recognition of the role that business and government can play in driving growth by working together, the source said.

Haley's campaign didn't comment.

There's no putting Humpty Dumpty (our economy) back together again. I don't care if Adam Smith, Lee Iacocca, Henry Ford, John D. Rockefeller, and the rest of the Titans of Wall Street and the Captains of Industry were resurrected. Nothing and no one will fix the labyrinthine of a mess we created for ourselves. Massive debt. Massive liabilities. Entitled citizens. Open, free for all borders. An Immoral Compass. Confusion. Abortion. Warmongering. Open air drug abuse. Indoctrinated young people. Backstabbing, amoral leaders and politicians. Crime and NO punishment. Americans spoke. They don't need God. He already left our nation. Individual salvation. Seek Him now. Before it is too late. Nikki Haley is one of the World Economic Forum’s “ Young Global Leaders “. Also, she is not a natural born citizen, as required by the Constitution. Her parents were not US citizens at the time of her birth, so she has dual citizenship. (Same problem as Obama).
