My local bank of a dozen branches has undergone changes. My branch has closed the lobby for for 3 months now for "renovation." Only the drive-thru is open during this time. When the lobby reopens, the drive-thru will be history. In it's place they have installed a HUGE ATM that much more than an ATM. It is meant to replace ALL banking services. And the lobby will only have one teller on duty at a time. I have no idea what the other office space will we used for. My sense is that, since they are pushing these Super-sized ATMs, that will be the future of banking. Any transaction at that machine will have AI to monitor and accept or reject transactions. Added warning: the last two weeks of December are going to be volatile for the world.
